b) This Passage is taken from Macbeth Act 2, Scene 1. In this soliloquy, Macbeth is alone in his castle, contemplating the murder of King Duncan. He hallucinates a dagger in front of him, pointing him towards Duncan’s chamber. Macbeth is torn between whether the dagger is real or a creation of his mind, brought about by his intense inner turmoil and ambition. He grapples with the idea that the vision might be an omen, a product of his own thoughts, or even a trick of his senses due to his agitated state of mind.
