Never Make These Mistakes

IGNOU GRAMMAR PART 3 – We all want to be fluent in English and we can without any doubt. But we also need to keep checking out if we have been making any sort of common mistake that we should not. Here, we are going to emphasize on common mistakes you should not make ever.

Let’s us check it out IGNOU GRAMMAR PART 3 in a detailed manner –

1. English is More Easier than Hindi.

Never put “MORE” and “EASIER” together. ये दोनो कभी भी एक साथ प्रयोग नहीं किये जाते है। नीचे दिये उदाहरण की मदद से आपको सीखने में ज्यादा आसानी होगी। Here, we are doing comparison in between two languages therefore, it would be like this –

English is easier than Hindi.

It means More + Easy = Easier and that is why there is no need to add MORE when you have already added Easier. “Er” indicates towards “MORE

2. I LOST my train.

What do you think? Is this sentence correct? No, it is not. “LOST” is always used when you misplace something and now you are not finding it at the expected place. You do not say any third person, “Hey, did you see my train. I put it here.” ट्रेन कोई चीज नहीं है जिसे आप रख कर भूल गये होगें। इसीलिये LOST का प्रयोग यहां नहीं किया जा सकता है।

Instead of “LOST”, you will put MISSED.

I missed my train.

You missed it since you were not at the right time. You got late and missed your train. इसीलिये यहां Lost का प्रयोग नहीं किया जायेगा.
