Present Indefinite Tense

IGNOU GRAMMAR PART 6 Present Indefinite Tense is one of the easiest Tense types. Today, we are going to study it in a detailed manner so that you would not have any confusion regarding this at all.

Let’s Start IGNOU GRAMMAR PART 6 Present Indefinite Tense –

Present Indefinite Tense बताता हैं किसी भी प्रकार के action को जो कि या तो regular होता है या फिर normal or true होता है। आइये इन्हें बेहतर तरीके से उदाहरणों से समझते हैं –

Action (Habits) –

जिस भी काम में किसी भी प्रकार के काम करने को या फिर करत्ता की आदत के बारे में बताया जाता है वो Present Indefinite Tense होते हैं।  आप और हम बहुत सा चीजें रोज करते हैं उन्हीं आदतों को इग्लिश में बताने के लिये Present Indefinite Tense करते हैं Here, the meaning of “Habit” is what we keep doing on daily basis or regularly.

She tells a lie. (वो झूठ बोलती है यानि ये कर्ता की आदत है)

He talks a lot. (वो बहुत ज्यादा बोलता है यानि ये कर्ता की आदत है)

Rama goes to the library every day.

(रमा रोज लाइब्रेरी जाती है यानि ये कर्ता की रोज की आदत है)

Goes (ध्यान दे कि यहां s/es का प्रयोग किया गया है जो कि Present Indefinite Tense को बताता हैं)

 

Regular (Daily Routine) – जो भी काम रोज नियमित तौर पर किये जाते है वो Present Indefinite Tense होते हैं It means the work which is done every day following a sequence.

I wake up at 8:30 am.

मैं रोज सुबह साढे आठ बजे उठता है।

 I always do some exercises in the morning.

मैं रोज सुबह एक्सरसाइज करता हूँ

I write news articles on different topics.

(मैं विभिन्न विषयों पर समाचार लिखती हूं

Write (ध्यान दे कि यहां s/es का प्रयोग नहीं किया गया है क्योंकि I इंगिल्श में बहुवचन माना जाता है और ये भी Present Indefinite Tense को बताता हैं)

Normal or True (Universal Facts) – जो भी बात सत्य होती है या फिर पूरे संसार में विश्वास की जाती है चाहे आप संसार के किसी भी कोने में हों वो Present Indefinite Tense होते हैं –

Moon revolves around earth.

चंद्रमा पृथ्वी को चारों ओर घूमता है

Sun rises from the east.

(सूरज पूर्व दिशा से निकलता है)

Rises (ध्यान दे कि यहां s/es का प्रयोग किया गया है क्योंकि Sun एकवचन है जो कि Present Indefinite Tense को बताता हैं)

जिस भी वाक्य के अंत में ता है, ती, ते हैं आते हैं उसे Present Indefinite Tense माना जाता है और आइये थोड़ा सा अभ्यास करते है उपर दी हुयी जानकारी का उपयोग करते हुये –

Examples of Present Indefinite Tense:

वह कार्टून बुक्स पढना पंसद करती है

Answer Loves क्योंकि She एकवचन है

वो गर्मियों में क्रिकेट खेलना पसंद करते हैं

Answer Love क्योंकि They Plural है

• • • She……………………..(prefers/preferred/preferring/prefer) juice over tea.

वह चाय से ज्यादा जूस पीना पसंद करती है।

Answer Prefers क्योंकि She एकवचन है

हम इस बाजार में खरीददारी करने आते हैं।

Formulas

ध्यान रखें कि अगर subject एकवचन यानि की singular number में हो तो verb यानी क्रिया की first form में s या es जोडकर लिख जाता है

Verb क्या होती है… इसे क्रिया भी कहा जाता है क्योकि ये किये जाने वाले काम को बताती है जैसे

Object यानि जिसके बारे में बात की जा रही है और यह वाक्य को पूरा भी करता है।

• She likes him. (Him (he) is object in this sentence.)
• I know her. (Her (she) is object in this sentence.)
