Test of goodness of fit
Answer – Many times a decision – the manufacturer needs to understand whether the actual sample distribution matches a known theoretical distribution such as binomial, poinen, normal, and so on. Similarly, some time researchers have compared the observations (sample) frequencies to those frequencies in many categories of distribution, which are expected according to their hypothesis. The x² test for the good of fit is a statistical test that how well the data supports the distribution of a population supports the data. That is, whether it supports a random variable of interest. In other words, the test determines how well an estimated distribution fits the given data.
