Export order Vs. Import order
Import order –
Import order is a term used in import customs clearance processes and formalities in India. Once the goods arrive from the foreign country to the Indian customs station, the import documents are filed by the importer or its authorized customs broker. The Bill of Entry is a major document to be filed with Indian customs to meet the necessary import procedures and formalities with other necessary documents related to an imported import process.
Nominated Customs Officers, after fulfilling their requirements as specified by the Government of India, examine the goods / appraisal value of the goods being levied and allow the imported goods from the customs sector. After completing such import procedures and formalities, the appropriate officials of customs allow the importer to take the goods from the customs duty by mentioning the entry bill as ‘passing through the customs duty’.
