  1. Negative and Positive Peace:

a. Negative Peace: Negative peace refers to the absence of violence or the cessation of direct conflict. It focuses on the prevention or resolution of conflicts, leading to the absence of war or violence. Negative peace aims to stop the immediate harm but may not address the underlying issues that caused the conflict.

b. Positive Peace: Positive peace goes beyond the absence of violence and seeks to create conditions for sustainable peace. It addresses the root causes of conflict, such as social injustice, inequality, and political grievances. Positive peace promotes reconciliation, social cohesion, and long-term stability.
