What is the value of IGNOU degree?

The IGNOU Degree Diplomas and Certificates are recognized by all member universities of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and are at par with Degrees/Diplomas/ Certificates of all Indian Universities/ Institutions, as per UGC Circular letter No. F.1-52/2000 (CPP-II) dated 5th May, 2004, AIU Circular No. EV/11(449/94/176915- 177115 dated January 14, 1994, AICTE Circular No.AICTE/Academic/ MOU-DEC/ 2005 dated May 13, 2005 and UGC/DEB/2013 dated 14.10.2013.

IGNOU Degree RECOGNITION – 

IGNOU is a NATIONAL OPEN UNIVERSITY established by an Act of Parliament in 1985 (Act No. 50 of 1985). IGNOU Degrees/Diplomas/Certificates are recognised by all the member institutions of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and are at par with Degrees/Diplomas/Certificates of all Indian Universities/Deemed Universities/Institutions.

How to get original IGNOU degree – 

 छात्रों को डिग्री / डिप्लोमा प्रमाण पत्र प्राप्त करने के लिए खुद को IGNOU Convocation में पंजीकृत करने  की आवश्यकता होती है। अपनी सुविधानुसार किसी भी क्षेत्रीय केंद्र या दिल्ली में  दीक्षांत समारोह में शामिल होकर प्रमाण पत्र एकत्र कर सकते हैं।

Choice-based credit system (CBCS) –

The Bachelor Programs offered through this booklet follow the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) introduced by UGC. The CBCS provides the student with flexibility to study the subjects / courses at their own pace; greater choice of interdisciplinary, intra-disciplinary and skill-based courses; and mobility to different institutions for studies. The system has the following advantages:

1. Low Allows students to choose a combination of interdisciplinary and intra-disciplinary courses, skills-oriented courses.
2. Makes education broad and on par with global standards.
3. It offers flexibility for students to study at different times and in different institutions to complete the program. The credits obtained in one institution can be transferred to another institution.
