Outliers

Answer – Outliers are a extreme score on either one variable or both variables. The presence of outliers has a very harmful effect on the correlation values. The strength and degree of correlation is influenced by the presence of external. Suppose you want to calculate the correlation between height and weight. They are known to be correlated positively. One of the scores has a low weight and a high score at the height (maybe, some anorexia patients). This extreme score is called outer. We see the effect of an external observation on correlation. Without outlines, the correlation is 0.95. The presence of an external has greatly reduced the correlation coefficient at 0.45. Figure 2.2. Shows the effect of a clear overview on the correlation. Without outlines, the correlation is 0.95. The presence of an external has greatly reduced the correlation coefficient at 0.45.
