7. SDG 5: Gender Equality: Sustainable Development Goal 5 (SDG 5) is one of the 17 global goals established by the United Nations to achieve a more sustainable and equitable world by 2030. SDG 5 focuses on achieving gender equality and empowering all women and girls. It seeks to eliminate discrimination, violence, and harmful practices against women and girls, and promote equal access to education, healthcare, economic opportunities, and participation in decision-making.

Gender equality is not only a fundamental human right but also a key driver of sustainable development. Empowering women and girls contributes to reducing poverty, improving health and education outcomes, promoting economic growth, and enhancing social well-being. Achieving SDG 5 requires comprehensive efforts to challenge gender norms, address systemic inequalities, and create an enabling environment for women and girls to realize their full potential.
