Modes of experiences by Sullivan
Answer – All experiences occur in one or more of the three “modes” presented by Sullivan.
These three Modes of experiences by Sullivan were : –

- Prototoxic mode – As the Greek roots of this term indicate, the prototaxic mode refers to the first type of experience the infant has and the order or arrangement in which it occurs.
- Paraataxic mode – As the child develops and maturation progresses, the entire undifferentiated original experience is broken.
- Syntax mode – As the child grows, he is able to understand the language and gradually learns the meaning of “validated by consensus”.
