Modes of experiences by Sullivan

Answer – All experiences occur in one or more of the three “modes” presented by Sullivan.

These three Modes of experiences by Sullivan were : – 

    1. Prototoxic mode – As the Greek roots of this term indicate, the prototaxic mode refers to the first type of experience the infant has and the order or arrangement in which it occurs.
    2. Paraataxic mode – As the child develops and maturation progresses, the entire undifferentiated original experience is broken.
    3. Syntax mode –  As the child grows, he is able to understand the language and gradually learns the meaning of “validated by consensus”.
